Background Story
In the past 3 years, we have grown from a one-manned team to a small team of passionate game developers. In early 2009, Jake (known across many communities as Jaekob Caed) created a small forum for gaming which never grew large at all. After discovering the Sphere game engine and finding out how fun game development can be, he decided to use that old gaming forum and establish a small game development team. He was inspired by Jagex Games Studio and their success. He used the name, Joquan (Pronounced "Joe-Kahn"), which he made up a long time ago for a story he was writing. Even though we still have a small team, we also have a few games in development. (See the Games page for more information on those games, and our other products and services provided.) In 2011, we launched a voluntary QA team for people who don't want to join our full-time team.
Our Goal
Our goal is to reach out to all of those people, both gamers and non-gamers. We want to spread gaming throughout the world. We wish to provide them with cheap or free games, as well as having great quality and fast and convenient player support when needed.
Help Us Obtain that Goal
You can help us obtain that goal, by simply playing our games! All of our current games are free, and if we decide to start charging for them, we plan on donating 75% of all of the money earned to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund (which we believe may just be on to something) or St Jude's Children's Hospital. You can be assured your money won't be going to greedy business masterminds. The money that we receive will be used for operating costs, and a little bit will be for our profit, to keep us going. You may be thinking:
"Is there a specific way I can help you?"
There's a very simple answer to that question. If you join our team, you can help us, by creating games, helping our community, advertising the games, etc. If you don't want to join our team, you can support us by advertising and sponsoring our team on your sites, or by telling your friends about us. Optionally, if you want to take a more active role with our games but you don't want to join our team, you can apply to our Voluntary Quality Assurance team, or even our player-based support helper team on our forums.

Our Future
We have plans to continue growing as large as we can become. We are working on several different projects at this time, and we have plans for many cool games that we hope will help set certain trends in the game industry.
Technical Stuff
Our team uses some pretty awesome game engines to create games. We use primarily DX Studio and Sphere, however we have used Game Maker before, as we believe it is just as capable of making games as some of the higher-end engines.
